La Nuvola Gallery will inaugurate in Rome (on the occasion of Contemporary Day), on December 11 at 6 pm. the exhibition "Uemon Ikeda. Parallel Stories", dedicated to Uemon Ikeda (Kobe, 1952) and curated by Alice Falsaperla.
The Japanese artist has installed works throughout Italy up to Tokyo. His signature consists of a red thread of wool and silk, exhibited in Piazza Farnese and Piazza Campidoglio in Rome, at the Royal Palace of Naples and in Venice in 2019, on the occasion of Japan Week. It was recently also the FIPE‘s (Italian Federation of Public Exercises) symbol, Women Entrepreneurs.
La Nuvola at Via Margutta will host this environmental installation, specially set up according to the structure of the Gallery, along with the latest series of the artist, made with watercolor on paper.
The catalogue, published by Bordeaux, will contain "Parallel Tales", a collection of unpublished writings by Ikeda, curated by Marta Bianchi and under the Fondation Italia-Japan’s Patronage, will contain texts by Ambassador Umberto Vattani and art historian and critic Alice Falsaperla.
