The Italian Cultural Institute in Copenhagen takes part in Giornata del Contemporaneo with the exhibition "Insieme concertante" by the Italian artist Donatella Spaziani, whose artworks are also present in the Farnesina Collection. The exhibition will be open to visitors from 6 December 2021.
For the first time, the exhibition will present unpublished photographs taken by the artist during the first lockdown in Rome, alongside pencil drawings with newspaper clippings’ collages and an installation with wallpapers.
The installation “Insieme Concertante” - which gives the title to the entire exhibition - will be placed in the Institute’s garden. It consists of a "set" of iron and ceramic tables designed by the artist and some chairs designed specifically for the external. “Insieme Concertante” is the third permanent installation that will be hosted in the garden of the Institute, besides “Astratti Furori” by Felice Levini and “Tutti i passi che ho fatto nella mia vita mi hanno portato qui, ora” by Alberto Garutti.
The project was born in 2019 and it aims at promoting the Italian contemporary art in Denmark. The scope is to create a sculptural park in the Institute’s garden, where the interaction between architecture, nature, seasons and time’s change make the fruition of the works a unique experience.
