19:00 – 23:00

In the framework of the global exhibition "Cantica21", the work "Tessitura Cosmica" by the Italian artist Leonardo Petrucci will be on show at the salon of the Italian Institute of Culture in Santiago (Triana 843, Providencia) from 9 December until 12 January 2022. "Tessitura Cosmica", which comes from the Centro Pecci in of Prato, expresses the artist's interest in the scientific and astronomical field, which has been present in his work for ten years now. Inspired by the composition and shapes of ferrous meteorites, the artist invites us to observe the interweaving of cosmic symmetries in order to reflect on the relationship between the universe and the human being and, at the same time, between the human being and the natural, the social and the historical. Petrucci offers an interesting interpretation of the meteoric structures, re-plasticising them through artistic gesture in tapestries that bring together natural and artificial, science and art.
