In the week in which the “contemporary” is celebrated, we wanted to extend Enzo Lisi's exhibition to bring it further to the attention of a wider audience; that of the way of the school which starts again in September also with the rediscovered possibility of allowing guided visits to students of high schools, training institutes and universities in the area. Young people are the engine of the contemporary, they are the lifeblood to be reached in order to connect with the artistic policies and work of Enzo Lisi in the school, first as a student (here is the meaning of an anthology of a living artist) and then as a teacher of that Liceo Artistico di Latina which also saw the artistic message of Claudio Cintoli and other contemporary artists emerging and handed down, who initiated the generation of the Pontina School. This exhibition "gives the LA" to a cycle of events that will take place at MADXI in Tor Tre Ponti on a theme. In the museum there is also a permanent collection of the artist Sergio Ban (recently deceased) who has strongly influenced this Pontine cultural component together with Lisi and several other important local authors.
The critic Daniele Fiacco argues that Enzo's language is “(...) an interpenetration of reflections that noticeably escape from the simple alternation of questions and answers that remain adherent but closed. All the questions therefore remain open and the attempt of the entire studio is to grasp Lisi's work in making himself of him, in his unfolding over time. The idea of the body and of displacement are central, they are points of critical radiation. The displacement we are talking about does not refer only to the simultaneity of points of view, to the recomposing on the plane of the canvas a plurality of glimpses that appear as a possible reality of the world, nor does it consist in the choral presence of the others, who, to shadows and reflections, they are placed in a non-hierarchical way on the same level as the artist as autonomous points of view. The image that Lisi proposes to the gaze is displaced with respect to seeing itself, since it suggests something that is beyond the perception of the eyes alone. The body reactivates a contact with space, it does not feel rejected, it does not feel alien: it is an enlarged dimension that encompasses the experience and extends the boundary of its feeling, in turn dismembering and dispersing in the form of shadows and reflections that are imprinted about things like skins with a new sensibility. "Seeing" is a marginal aspect that cannot be isolated, since it is part of the set of faculties that allow the artist to read himself in the world. The gaze, therefore, suggests something else, which appears to be displaced with respect to the eyes because it participates in the whole body (...)”.
