On the occasion of the eighteenth day of the contemporary, promoted by the AMACI - Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums, which will be held on October 8, we are pleased to present the solo exhibition of artist Penpeng Wang entitled Sincretica. The exhibition, curated by Angelo D'Amato, will be set up in the spaces of the CIVICO 23 gallery in Salerno:
"Pengpeng Wang's work can be translated into a research that is attentive to the surface. I have already said in other contexts how the" sensitive "data of the fabric, which makes up part of the artist's work, have, in fact, highlighted the possibility, simple and programmed, of being elements whose translucent nature establishes a haptic relationship with the observer, to the extent that the plot becomes "writing" to be touched, seen, smelled. The intimacy with which Peng dialogues with the material refers us to his experience as an artist inextricably linked to his birthplace, China, to his multisensory ability to make his works become a cognitive and affective body: cognitive as "warped" by precise and maniacal compositional rules, affective because they refer to the personal life of the artist. In the same way the modular "mirrors", freely subject to be modified, cause a displacement and a disorientation due to the iridescent brightness of the and reflective surfaces and their ability to be moved, being like tiles in a mosaic, like movable characters in an alphabet. The vibrations contained in Penpeng Wang's work are sensory resonances that allow a constant shift of meaning. It is an "ecology of the body", an interaction between the body and the environment, in a precarious balance between what is life and what is matter, between spirit and energy, in a global, syncretic dimension. "
