This year marks the 60th anniversary of the birth of the international fluxus movement. Even the San Cataldo Archive of Visual Communication and Artist's Books could not escape the celebration of a dutiful homage to the protagonists of the fluxus who revolutionized the language of art through the contamination and hybridization of the aesthetic practice of multiple visual languages and multimedia. The Archive offers an exhibition of the works in the collection entitled "Total Fluxus 1962/2022 Vecchie Glorie", curated by Calogero Barba.
The international Fluxus movement, supported by George Maciunas, was born in 1962 with the festival called Fluxus Internationale Festspiele Neuester Musik in Wiesbaden in Germany.
After the first German festival, several artists from all over the world joined the movement that practiced art with an operational freedom released from the closed circuit of the art system.
