The exhibition Agile/Fragile at the Italian Cultural Institute in Copenhagen unfolds in a diachronic path which highlights Rosy Rox's artistic process and research in the performative field characterized by the artist’s determination, consistency, and awareness.

The title of the exhibition is inspired by Rosy Rox's latest work created during the pandemic, which gripped the entire world and found the first dramatic European example in Italy. AGILE becomes the protest of an artist who normally feeds on the relationship with the public and who is forced in the solitude of her home, finding a sarcastic outburst in the semantic game of the crate as the only theater available during the confinement. Here Rosy Rox also uses the language as a medium to testify the condition of women and the artist herself: FRAGILE.

The exhibition at the Italian Cultural Institute in Copenhagen includes video, photographs, and sculptures of the performance projects by Rosy Rox (born in Naples, 1976) from the last decade, such as Monumento di Passage (2015), Frammento Archetipo and Il Dono, also including her latest performance Ad Occhi Aperti (2022) specifically conceived for the Ovartaci Museum in Aarhus, which will be presented on October 11st.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a monographic catalog published by Artem with critical contributions by Adriana Rispoli, Kathryn Weir, Angela Tecce, Eugenio Viola, and Stefania Zuliani.
