The “Gronchi” Unit of Pontedera -ACLI Arte e Spettacolo, Fondazione per la Cultura Pontedera and the City of Pontedera under the patronage of Regione Toscana and Provincia di Pisa announce the 27th edition of the National Award of Visual Arts Giovanni Gronchi - City of Pontedera, to pay homage to the recollection of the fellow citizen Giovanni Gronchi. The Award is a memorable contest founded in 1991 aimed at publicizing the knowledge of artistic and contemporary languages. Several artists partecipated in the contest, helping to launch the city and a cultural debate more and more aware and wide. Since 2020, the Award, in combination with Acli Arti e Spettacolo, has combined visual arts and music, in order to promote the historical value of the Prize‘s development in the schools, encouraging the young peolpe to take part, out of the competition, to the Award.
While performing of the National Award of Visual Arts Giovanni Gronchi - City of Pontedera, will be held the charity event “Gioco Inclusivo”, with the exhibition and the following auction of the pictorial works of the artist Luigi Loscalzo, aimed at fundraising for the realization of the project “Il diritto al gioco inclusivo”, proposed by UILDM-Sezione di Pisa and Tarta Blu APS. The project aims to modify a play area in the town of Pontedera, by removing any architectural and sensorial barriers and installing playground equipment playable by all the boys and girls, with or without disability. Moreover, book presentations and special events open to the public (Vanity Wheel and a piano concert).
The National Award of Visual Arts Giovanni Gronchi - City of Pontedera takes place from 8 to 22 October 2022, at the following hours:

Saturday, Sunday 5/7 pm
