The Italo Bolano Foundation presents a retrospective of the master Italo Bolano (1936-2020) on Saturday 8 October at 5.00 pm in the Oval Room of the Province of Prato. Gestural and expressionist artist, he has dedicated his entire life to painting, to the dissemination of contemporary art, in particular with the creation of a museum on the Island of Elba, his homeland, and to the training of young people thanks to his many years teaching activity. The exhibition, open until 21 October, intends to pay homage to his exceptional and multifaceted figure not only as a painter and designer of installation works in steel, dallas glass and ceramics, but also as an educator and promoter of the arts and culture. Two evenings will be dedicated to special events: Thursday 13 October presentation of a new project for the Italo Bolano Open Air Museum on the Island of Elba, by the architect Giampiero Gabelli, which will become an unprecedented museum on the island dedicated to contemporary arts; finissage Friday 21st October prof. Giampiero Palmieri will hold a meeting on friendship and the partnership between Bolano and Mario Luzi.
