This anthological review, strongly desired by prof. Angelo Calabrese is the result of his ingenuity and is set up in accordance with the original project of the monographic work he dedicated to Claudia Mazzitelli, proposed as an artist and woman of her time.
It was born to testify to the value and creativity of the cultural research she conducted: in almost fifty years of activity, her works have been exhibited in 246 art exhibitions both in Italy and abroad, divided into 178 collective and 67 personal exhibitions. With her works, included in 76 catalogs, Claudia Mazzitelli has received prestigious awards, including the Megaris 2019 award, unique for art and intended for the first time for a woman. In the fourteen rooms of the historic location of Palazzo San Giacomo, home of the "Antonio Sapone" Municipal Art Gallery in Gaeta, there are many of the works produced from 1973 to 2022, witnesses not only to all the research undertaken, but also to the authentic correspondence that unites the Themes expressed on the canvases to the unpredictable history of the contemporary world, with precise references to the great social problems.
