Descrizione

Fabio D'Achille organizes this personal exhibition by Roberta Modena for the 2022 Contemporary Day in one of the exhibition spaces on the cultural island of MAD, Museo d'Arte Diffusa in Latina. The emerging artist exhibits the new canvases and collages of his most recent iconographic research and some of her first sculptures. The exhibition space is part of the MAD CONTEMPORARY ART MAP, a pedestrian path that artistically accompanies a visit to the historic center of the New City which offers, in addition to its rationalist architectural layout (for what remains!), A series of exhibitions in the premises of the historic center, between clubs, shops, lounge bars and hotels, as well as works of street art together with monumental foundation sculptures and contemporary installations.
"Roberta Modena is an emerging artist from the Pontine area. You paint, paste, experiment on standard, commercial formats; her stylistic signature is POP. She proposes among her subjects characters and starlets from cinema, art and music, offering a personal vision, certainly far from hyperrealism aimed at a rough identification, a quotation, without even the pretense of a copy.
This measure does not exacerbate the repetitiveness typical of Pop. Roberta is looking for a place in the local artistic universe, she does it starting from the bottom, choosing to exhibit in commercial premises as if to show that this activity of hers is affable and measured on everyone's needs (...)
