To mark the thirtieth anniversary since Luigi Ghirri’s death, the photography section of Palazzo dei Musei in Reggio Emilia is remembering him with "In scala diversa. Luigi Ghirri, Italia in Miniatura e nuove prospettive", an exhibition which, for the first time ever, brings together the photos he took at the Italia in Miniatura theme park.
Ghirri's series is presented for the first time in dialogue with a selection of extraordinary unpublished materials from the park's own archive, the heart of which is a corpus of more than 6,500 photographs. Completing the tour is a section devoted to photographic projects created by a working group of students and emerging artists, catalyzed by Joan Fontcuberta and Matteo Guidi from a workshop conducted at the Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche - ISIA in Urbino.

On the occasion of the Day of the Contemporary, two guided tours, at 11 a.m. (with Maria Montanari) and 4 p.m. (with Ilaria Campioli, co-curator of the exhibition) will take visitors on a guided tour of the exhibition.

"On a Different Scale. Luigi Ghirri, Italia in Miniatura" and New Perspectives is a project promoted by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia (Civic Museums, Panizzi Library), the Emilia-Romagna Region, APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna in collaboration with Italia in Miniatura park, Luigi Ghirri Heirs Archive and ISIA Urbino, with the contribution of Crédit Agricole Italia and with the Art Bonus contribution of IREN S.p.A and Fondazione Pietro Manodori.
