On Saturday 8 October at 6.00 pm 'L'arte della Pittura' will be inaugurated at the Santa Croce Gallery, a personal exhibition by Vincenzo Cecchini curated by Anna Maria Sanchi and promoted by the Department of Culture and Cultural Services of the Municipality of Cattolica. As part of the path started at the Galleria Santa Croce, the presence, or rather the return, of a complex and multifaceted figure such as Cecchini could not be missing. 'L'arte della pittura' is a tribute to a man, a poet, and an artist among the most representative exponents of contemporary painting in our city, and an invitation to re-discover or to approach for the first time, the most recent artistic research of the painter catholic.

Massimo Donà, Full Professor of Theoretical Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy of the San Raffaele University of Milan, will be present at the inauguration of the exhibition, who will introduce the public to the reading of the works on display: a selection of fifteen of the most significant works of the recent production art of Cecchini, which moves within the current of 'analytical painting' and largely transcends it. The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalog that collects images of the works on display and critical essays by Massimo Donà, Annamaria Bernucci, and Patrizia Mascarucci. The realization of the catalog makes use of the support of RivieraBanca, which has joined the work carried out by the Cultural Services of the Municipality of Cattolica and the Santa Croce Gallery, aimed at enhancing a line of Cecchini's artistic research that undoubtedly deserves to be explored in the its complexity.

The exhibition will be hosted inside the Municipal Gallery until January 8, 2023.
