After Binetti's latest solo exhibitions "Io è l'Altro" set up in the City of London in October 2022, in the Oxo Tower and "Lo spirito dei luoghi" set up in Venice in May and June 2023, in Palazzo Zaguri, in the headquarters of the Giacomo Casanova Foundation, the photographic works of Dario Binetti return to the showroom on the outskirts of Ascoli Piceno, where the photographer of Brindisi origin, but Ascolano by adoption, conserves and exhibits with enthusiasm, on this occasion, to the public of the Giornata del Contemporaneo, meritoriously organized , like every year, from the AMACI.
"Only recently has photography entered the world of painting: the artform has imprinted itself in the work of artists today, where photographs and paintings coexist within the same frame.
However, I do not see this contamination in Dario Binetti’s photographs and, if there is, it’s accidental and superficial.
In my opinion, his work is entirely photographic and achieved through a sequence of steps.
Allow me to explain myself better. Without getting too technical - I will leave that to the experts - I feel that an analysis on Binetti’s pictures should perhaps be composed by a poet, rather than written by a critic."
