Fear of being different. Fear of being inadequate. Fear of not making it. Fear of being discriminated against. Fear of missing out. Fear of flying. In other words, fear of existing. To express one’s artistic creativity, then, becomes an effective way to overcome this fear, to be aware and engaged in our complex social ecosystem. With SOMETHING ELSE, scheduled on the occasion of the 19th AMACI Giornata del Contemporaneo, art becomes an instrument of social sustainability.

This is the “human ecology” framework which inspired SOMETHING ELSE’s artists: from Fabio Giocondo (painter and photographer) to Lavinia Angiolini (painter ad performer), from Stefano Capozzi (street art writer) to Giulia Corallo (comic book artist), Elia Micai (painter), Simone Furia (photographer), Samareh Kian (choreographer and performer) and Davide Fordiani (painter and performer), creator and art manager of the HUB. Techno and psytrance research music by Eugenio Bonazza (aka Hektor Brain Jam), Luca Barboni (aka Anx, aka Void Controller, aka Luca Droni), Abramo/Six and Cristiano. The event will take place on October 7th 2023 in the historical "cassero Strozzi-Magnani", Via Ripagrande 30, Ferrara.
