ALVEATELA was born from the encounter between the environmental artist Antonella De Nisco with the classes of the Marco Polo School of Reggio Emilia - RE educational workshop, in a design path on the themes of weaving and nature and was presented at the XV edition of the School of Landscape Emilio Sereni, which has as its theme the "Landscape and environmental crisis", concepts of sustainability that are also necessary to rethink the contemporary art system.
ALVEATELA is the metaphor of a landscape that needs care, meetings and widespread socializing: a large BEEHIVE, irregular and light, placed like WING, among the trees of the park-garden of the school, a sculpture that takes root among intertwining branches and scented vines, a changing SAIL on the lawn, always different over the course of the days and seasons.
The work is the result of a creative, educational operation on space that the artist and the LAAI Association (by Antonella De Nisco and Giorgio Teggi) define as "poetic maintenance": in the encounter with the artist, in the co- participation (development of the work), in the construction workshops with the children, the work becomes an experience that serves to deepen the observation of that space that is found "between" things, invites us with gesture and interweaving, to listen, look and re-discover the places (near our house) and take care of them.
