The exhibition will be opened on 16 September at 20.30 with performances by the artist and the WHY NOT Group and it will remain open on 17,23,24 September and 7,8 October 2023 (times 10-12 15-18.30) - The exhibition offers the comparison between two artists who have made of the line the leitmotif of their creative process. Franco Dotti started from one point to draw his sculpture and without taking his hand off he built his "Forms in space", closing his conception in the same starting point. The iron works of Giuliano Cataldo Giancotti interact with light flows or three-dimensional landscapes that are inspired by travel sketches. His sculptures/architectures reflect on the transformations of Italian architecture and give life to symbolic buildings called the "architectures of the time". Giancotti's artistic research stems from his interest in places understood as physical entities of a past that testifies to our presence in the world. With his works he enhances the importance of manual skill and craftsmanship, finding the perfect balance between thought, vision and physical representation. The artist's intent is to evoke in the observer the dimension of an inner journey, a whole world made of lines, shapes and symbols full of deep spirituality.
