On the occasione of Giornata del Contemporaneo in Erbusco, Ca' del Bosco hosts guided tours of the Sculpture Park and the cellar, open exclusively for Officina della Scultura, on 7th October.
The Piero Cattaneo Foundation, founded in Bergamo in 2020 as a natural continuation of the homonymous association formed ten years earlier, announces the VI Edition of Officina della Scultura on the Lombard territory, with a project that is part of the Bergamo Brescia Capital of Culture 2023.
The sixth edition of L'Officina della Scultura, promoted by Fondazione Piero Cattaneo and curated by Marcella Cattaneo, takes place from October 2 to November 30, 2023, extending its programming, for the first time, also to November.
The project is part of the program of The city of treasures hidden within the palimpsest of Bergamo Brescia Capital of Culture 2023. Founded on the traces of the sculptural research of the twentieth century, the event offers a new route, this year geographically located among the patrimonies spread in the territories of Bergamo and Brescia. This Sixth Edition sees a program that, in addition to some stages that distinguish the activity of Officina della Scultura, alongside some novelties that broaden the reflection on sculptural culture and offer new angles.
Leading the visitor into the workshops of sculptors who have made the history of the twentieth century of the two provinces, the itinerary establishes a refined dialogue with the landscape and introduces the figures of Giuseppe Bergomi and Giuseppe Rivadossi, in addition to the consolidated names of Piero Cattaneo, Gianni Grimaldi, Viveka Assembergs and Domenico Pievani.
For the first time, two new and stimulating stages are introduced.
The territory of Franciacorta is the setting for visits to the collection of the Ca' del Bosco winery, a label that represents territorial excellence in the production of wine, and the Campiani Collection, the private collection in Cellatica. These open spaces, which are distinguished by the expanses of vineyards and the numerous site-specific outdoor sculptures, become places of paths designed to explore the peculiar relationship between art, nature and landscape.
Finally, Officina della Scultura inaugurates the collaboration with the Galleria dell'Incisione in Brescia, where an exhibition dedicated to the relationship between design design and its formal representation, with graphics and sculptures by Giuseppe Rivadossi, Giuseppe Bergomi and Livio Scarpella.
