On the occasion of Giornata del Contemporaneo Saturday 7 October 2023 at 4.30 pm CASA TURESE contemporary art inaugurates DECENNALE, a title dedicated to the celebratory exhibition for its 10 years of activity. On the occasion of this very important event, curated by Enzo Battarra, the gallery presents a collective exhibition that celebrates most of the already consolidated experiences and at the same time anticipates the selection of some future projects. The exhibited works represent a focus on the new contemporary Italian painting, in particular on a generation of artists born between the second half of the 70s and the end of the 80s, to whom the gallery has always dedicated a large space of its career. It will be possible to appreciate works created specifically for this event, which tell different stories and researches, ranging from figurative to abstract painting. “Words have weight,” writes Enzo Battarra. “DECENNALE is a celebratory title, it resounds, marks a time, that of the ten years lived intensely within the art system. But painting also has a weight. Stories have always taken on color, formed images, captured the gaze. Ten artists talk about their times for a decade. And they do so by bringing their lives, origins, choices, experiments and languages to the stage of art. The tenth anniversary is a final balance, but it is also a turning point. Ideas launched over the course of ten years are collected to build others, to build futures." Ten years engaged in the promotion of contemporary art in Vitulano, in the Sannio area, outline an activity which, despite having always shown a strong link with the territory, has never set territorial limits, focusing on a programming that over time has had the its growth by consolidating new relationships, establishing itself with new proposals, also opening up to participation in national and international fairs. With this exhibition, CASA TURESE adheres to the 19th day of the contemporary, the great event promoted by AMACI - Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums. The exhibition includes works by: Vittorio Asteriti, Michele Attianese, Giuseppe Barilaro, Nicola Caredda, Maurizio Carriero, Vincenzo Frattini, Emanuele Giuffrida, Angelo Maisto, Alessandro Signorino, Nicola Felice Torcoli.
