Artists open their studios to the public.
On the 19th Giornata del Contemporaneo promoted by AMACI - Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums - 6 artists open the doors of their studios to the public to offer a deeper insight into the creative process, from its initial stages to the final result.

The artist is often seen as a being foreign to the world around him, everything about him is shrouded in mystery, arousing curiosity. The visit to the studios of Fabio Adani, Francesca Artoni, Massimo Canuti, Nicla Ferrari, Mirko Frignani and Cristina Iotti will allow a profound approach to the world of the artist as 'creative' but also and above all as a 'person' and will propose the observation not only of completed works, works in progress and sketches, but also of those usual and unusual elements with which the artist sometimes surrounds himself and which, in some cases, represent a source of inspiration.

The place that is usually locus amoenus, the artist's intimate, serene and secret refuge, estranged from the tensions of the outside world, thus exceptionally becomes a place of cultural encounter and creative confrontation, thanks to the fact that each artist will welcome the works of one or more guest artists in his or her own microcosm.

The visit to the studios can be imagined as an ideal itinerary that, starting from Cavriago and passing through Montecchio, Poviglio, Guastalla, Correggio and Sassuolo, also offers itself as a starting point for an exploration of landscapes and historical sites, above and below the via Emilia.

The studios will be open on Saturday 7 October from 3 to 6 pm.

Free entrance to the artists' studios without reservation.
