The event, curated by Rita CAPUNI, Ivan D'ALBERTO and Daniele PICCIRILLI, sees the involvement of the stylists Andrea CLEMENTI, Giulia MEZZA and Saverio NOTARI and the artists Valeria CIARDULLI, Alessandra CONDELLO, Andrea CROCE and Michela ZEPPETELLA.
The first three, according to the logic of the classic fashion show, will present two dresses each, garments inspired by works, techniques and aesthetic experiences belonging to the visual arts.
Andrea CROCE, however, will present a proposal halfway between the fashion show, the performance and the tableau vivant, Alessandra CONDELLO three video-fashion shows where models and clothes are the result of artificial intelligence and, finally, Valeria CIARDULLI and Michela ZEPPETELLA a choral tableau vivant, inspired by the Madame Lumiere project, which will see the involvement of some students from the "MiBe" Artistic, Musical and Dance High School of Pescara, coordinated by the teacher Silvia Pennese.
The reason why YAG/garage has decided to offer its public such an event is because today the Italian fashion houses continue to gravitate around the great giants of fashion style, while for young and very young creatives it is always very difficult to make space and make themselves note in a sector that instead has a strong need for new ideas. If we then look for a partnership between art and fashion, the possibilities for young people to express themselves are further reduced.
FASHION | between fashion and contemporary art thus becomes an opportunity for young creatives and the YAG/garage a meeting point between two worlds that are constantly in dialogue with each other.
