Are we sure that AI is an enemy of craft art?
At a time when young people are returning to engraving, choosing physical interaction with the plate and paper as an expressive means for small print runs, they do not disdain the use of technology as a potential expressive and technical tool to expand and enhance traditional techniques. Here is a talk with Patrizio Di Sciullo, graphic artist, engraver, and currently a professor of engraving techniques and fine art graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Frosinone, who has also taught at IED in Rome and various academies throughout Italy.
