For the event of organized on the occasion of the 19th Giornata del Contemporaneo Isgisgisgisgisgisgisgisgisg.com features Cold Proxy by Ronny Faber Dahl.

Cold Proxy is a GLSL shader featuring abstract, moving flows displayed on a screen. It is created using code rendering color choices inspired by the thermodynamic interplay of bioluminescent light in aquatic organisms. The work employ color grading and the contrasts between warmth and coldness, between red and blue.
Coded in shader language, the work enhances fragile textures, errors, and fractal elements that, within the realm of visual programming, suggest notions of anonymity and pseudonymity.

Isgisgisgisgisgisgisgisgisg.com is a browser-based space and a research-creation project run by Simona Barbera and Ronny Faber Dahl that focuses on the circulation and dissemination of digital art within the intersection of screen and physical space. Without prioritizing one form over the others, Isgisgisgisgisgisgisgisgisg.com explores the relational extension of the browser, where visual, sonic, and textual experiences are mediated through screens. Alongside, it engages in a critical process of exchange and deconstruction within the framework of networked society.

Designed and coded by Ronny Faber Dahl, Isgisgisgisgisgisgisgisgisg.com takes the form of an open-ended, online browser space. It steers its trajectory towards the confluence of internet culture, archival practices, and audiovisual materials, aiming to foster a critical platform for horizontal connections and expanded artistic practices. The project platform consists of a 10,000 x 10,000-pixel sized browser window – a fluid, multifaceted construct that extends from the continuum of the screen to IRL (in real life).

Since 2019 Isgisgisgisgisgisgisgisgisg.com has presented a series of online interventions, sharing decentralized practices within the field of media art, sound and moving images. Its practice is closely related to a temporal continuum that connects the archive beyond the confinements of the internet, redefining the boundaries of digital archives.

´Cold Proxy´ was exhibited at the K4 Gallery in Oslo in 2022 as part of the exhibition "This cold heat folding in on myself," a collaborative project with Simona Barbera.
