The performance, designed to participate in the Twentieth Giornata del Contemporaneo, wants to focus on the heaviness that the concept of perfection brings with it.

Perfection, understood in our social context, can become a difficult goal to achieve and above all to sustain in everyday life. The search for perfection today manifests itself in all areas, becoming myth and disease, illusion and neurosis, which affects every person across the board. Never before has the demand to be perfect affected so many individuals who are called to make a choice between being perfect and being themselves.

Specifically, the Performers will divide the tasks. The first will be entrusted with the task of supporting, with her own strength and tenacity, the weight of perfection, represented here by two bonsai, a symbol of the desire for perfection through human intervention. The artist will hold the plants in her hands along a path indicated by a red rope on which she will have to walk.
The second performer is entrusted with the task of creating the unexpected, as normally happens in life. Unforeseen events can be simple route deviations or major changes dictated by the demands of society which, especially for women, has precise demands in terms of perfection.

The performance will therefore focus on this continuous search for perfection on the one hand and on adapting to the unexpected to find one's own perfection, more suited to human imperfection.
The challenge we propose to support will be to bring together Eastern and Western cultures, both suffering with respect to the topic and both discriminating with respect to the figure of women, who are always required to make the right choice.
