The exhibition, part of the program of Ibrida - International Festival of Intermediate Arts, is produced by Vertov Project and PubliOne Società Benefit in collaboration with the Dino Zoli Foundation and is curated by the historian of moving images Bruno Di Marino.

On the occasion of the Giornata del Contemporaneo (Contemporary Day), BODY (S)CUL(P)TURE, Francesca Fini's first solo exhibition in the city, will be open to the public free of charge in the spaces of the Fondazione Dino Zoli in Forlì.

«After last year's exhibition dedicated to pre-cinema machines and the animations of Virgilio Villoresi, we move on to the interaction between humans and technology with a total artist like Francesca Fini, who ranges from performance art to artificial intelligence», explain Francesca Leoni and Davide Mastrangelo, Artistic Directors of Ibrida Festival. «Fini has participated in Ibrida several times with works and performances. He also created the image of the 2024 edition of the Festival."

«The relationship between humanity and technology is at the center of this exhibition» - they add - «which consolidates the collaboration between Ibrida Festival and the Dino Zoli Foundation and introduces the theme of this year's Festival: Artificial Reality. Creating synergies with other institutions allows us to grow together and provide the territory with high-level cultural activities. The one with the Foundation allowed us to broaden our horizons and bring leading artists from the digital and technological artistic panorama to Forlì."

«Ibrida's proposal for BODY (S)CUL(P)TURE was immediately accepted by the Dino Zoli Foundation for the artist's ability to mix the human and the artificial, the organic and the synthetic in his work creative», declares Nadia Stefanel, director of the Dino Zoli Foundation. «A path that affects the entire Dino Zoli Group, of which the Foundation is the cultural soul. In fact, Artificial Intelligence, the word of the year, was chosen as the topic for 2024, which is characterizing every field of analysis in both the scientific and creative fields."

Francesca Fini (Rome, 1970) is an intermedial artist who has always moved in the contemporary territory where the arts hybridize, between performance art, interaction technology, sound design, video-cinematographic experimentation, digital animation and painting.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalog containing a critical introduction by the curator, the historian of moving images Bruno Di Marino, a conversation with the artist and information on his multifaceted production.
