The artistic review "IN VERTICALE" is renewed for the 2024 edition, introducing a new element: mail art. This project, conceived by the Sémata cooperative, aims to enhance the cultural offering of the Monuments of Cagliari.

This year, thanks to the collaboration with the Associazione Culturale Creativa, "IN VERTICALE" has crossed the island's borders, landing in Piedmont.

On September 6, "IN VERTICALE" will return to Cagliari, in the refined setting of the Passeggiata Coperta and the Galleria dello Sperone del Bastione di Saint Remy. The exhibition, which will end on October 12, 2024 on the occasion of the 20th Contemporary Day promoted by AMACI, will close a cycle that began a year ago.

The new exhibition is divided into four exhibition paths:

AMEDEO LUIGI MORERA – A tribute to Mail Art and Football in 1934
Thanks to ACCM, we present for the first time a series of "IN VERTICALE" postcards by the Italian-French illustrator Amedeo Luigi Morera (1913-2001). Designed on June 3, 1934, the postcards tell the story of the Football World Cup in Milan, won by Italy. On the occasion of the 90th anniversary, we celebrate Morera's work and his contribution to Mail Art, an artistic movement of which he is considered a precursor, anticipating artistic sharing via post.

MAIL ART "IN VERTICALE" – Postal works by 69 contemporary artists
Postal correspondence becomes a unique and significant relational performance, which continues to influence and inspire contemporary artists. Each work sent tells a story, building a network of personal and creative connections that transcends geographical boundaries. "IN VERTICALE" thus celebrates mail art, underlining its role in the contemporary artistic panorama as a dynamic and participatory art form.

MAIL ART POP "IN VERTICALE" – works of popular creativity
The "pop" version of MAIL ART "IN VERTICALE" involves the public by creating vertical images on postcards. Until May 31, visitors to "Vicolungo The Style Outlets" participated by decorating postcards with various techniques. These postcards are now part of the Cagliari exhibition itinerary. Visitors to the Passeggiata Coperta and the Galleria dello Sperone del Bastione di Saint Remy can create their own postcards, actively participating and enriching the exhibition offer.

VIDEO ART "IN VERTICAL"
The Cultural Association Gesto Segno Disegno, with the president Federico Cozzucoli, announces a new video that projects the images of mail art "IN VERTICAL" on the walls of the Galleria dello Sperone. This video, continuing the experience at the Torre dell'Elefante, offers an innovative perspective on mail art.
