The adjective matèrico is expressly linked to the world of art, in particular to contemporary art, where matter and all its components become an integral part of the artist's poetics and acquire in the work a value that goes beyond the three-dimensional dimension and becomes language.
The artists on display, each in their own way, make material the support and at the same time the content of their works, united by the intention of making gesture and three-dimensionality a direct experience of the visitor, who enjoys the work both on a conceptual and physical.
From the dynamic and playful use of Japanese clay, to the soft-wax engraving, from the granularity of the clay which transforms during firing, to the weavings of waste fabrics, but also in the pictorial surface itself, the tactile-visual dimension suggests a interactive experience of exchange and sharing on multiple levels that arises directly from the human heritage and arouses different emotions.
The works are immersed in the space and dialogue with each other, transforming the gallery into a path where the tangible and the intangible interpenetrate: if in fact at first glance this duality seems unsolvable, it interpenetrates in an "other" entity where the two dimensions dialogue and trigger relationships: a practicable field, to be considered as a full space in which to place oneself by exploiting all its potential.
