This exhibition by Franco Fiorillo explores the theme of catastrophe using artificial intelligence to design the works. The artist seeks to create a humanistic use of AI by establishing a relational generative code that combines the executive results of the machine with manual intervention to restore the human element. The artworks reflect on the consequences of disasters, both collective and personal, with a focus on the tragedy of Fukushima as a symbol of universal catastrophe. Each work is accompanied by a philosophical framework and has an aesthetic fascination. The exhibition takes the viewer on an alienating journey through small, vintage-looking pieces arranged in a walkable, kaleidoscopic diorama in Palazzo Lucarini. The narrative is non-linear, always bringing us back to the responsibility of mankind in the face of dramatic events and catastrophe.
