FRACTAL RESONANCES - When Fractal Forms Dance with Sound is the performance event we are pleased to organize in our artist's home-studio, a place dedicated to creativity and artistic expression. This event aims to engage the audience in an immersive experience in which fractal works and fractal music intertwine in a unique and fascinating dialogue.
The works on display, made from a variety of media and materials, include drawings, artist's books, photographic prints, paintings and sculptures. Each piece reflects the intricacies and beauty of fractals, while the music, designed and composed specifically to accompany the works, creates an atmosphere of synesthesia in which sound and form blend harmoniously.
The studio-house is not only the stage for the event, but also a creative workshop. During the opening day, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the various steps of the creative process, admiring sketches, studies and drafts that led to the creation of the final works. This approach offers a deep and intimate view of the artist's work.
The event will take place in several sessions throughout the day, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate. The musical performance will be performed by the talented bassoonist Stefano Vicentini, whose music, also fractal, will bring an emotional and vibrant dimension to the works on display. The combination of sounds and visions will create a multi-sensory experience that stimulates the mind and heart.
We invite all art and music lovers to join us for this celebration of beauty and creativity, where every note and every shape tells a story of the interconnectedness of art and nature. The opening of Stefania Puntaroli's artist's studio-home will offer visitors privileged access to the artist's art and daily life, emphasizing the connection between man and nature and the power of creative connection.
The “Fractals” project stems from the 2011 work “Book fractal” and is based on the idea that everything is interconnected according to mathematical patterns, specifically the Fibonacci progression and fractal geometric theory. These theories allow the artist to explore different practices and materials, creating connections between imagination and reality. Fractal worlds are manifested in drawings, sculptures and performances. A central element is the Roman broccoli, which illustrates fractal theory as its shapes are repeated at different scales. Used as a matrix for carvings, a photographic subject and a structure for sculptures, it represents the base from which other forms are derived. Larch branches and drawn tissue papers are also part of this exploration of fractals.
