Ways of Becoming – 25 years with UNIDEE

The exhibition, conceived as an Open Studio, was created through an open call among over a thousand residents and mentors of the UNIDEE network.
The selection of works is the result of a constant dialogue between the curators and the artists who responded to the open call and is conceived as an ongoing process that is the basis of the residency programs. Although few of the works were created during the residencies, the experience in Biella continues to profoundly influence the artists' production. If true residency begins when you return with new artistic and human experiences, we asked everyone how their time in Biella continues to resonate in their lives. Furthermore, over 60 works in postcard format will be exhibited, created by former residents as messages that offer a glimpse into the present through the memory of UNIDEE.

A new exhibition that presents some of the most emblematic works created by Michelangelo Pistoletto during his career.
“Labyrinth – Preventive Peace is a labyrinth of life, where one must continually choose one's own path, composing one's vision and action according to a concept of peace rather than war. It is a continuous option between conflict and harmony.
“Along this path, spaces open up in which we encounter different works including: Love Difference – Mediterranean Sea, intended as a small cultural parliament of peace; Pozzo Specchio, a monument in which the spectator, bending to recognize himself, can see the truth of the mirror and, at the same time, in the eventual fall there is the possibility of rebirth; the Reintegrated Apple, which puts nature and artifice back into connection and balance. In the final part of the Labyrinth you then exit towards the permanent headquarters of the Third Paradise, which is the outcome of the path of preventive peace".
