The annual appointment with international comics in Jesi reaches its fourth edition.

Organized by the Cassa di Risparmio di Jesi Foundation, Acca – Academy of Comics, Creativity and Visual Arts, and by PAFF! International Museum of Comic Art in Pordenone, this year's exhibition, scheduled at Palazzo Bisaccioni, from 19 September to 24 November, offers an exhibition and a series of performances summarizing the most interesting comic production of the Arab countries overlooking the Mediterranean .

“Oltremari. Nuove traiettorie del fumetto arabo”, this is the title of the exhibition, exhibits works by young authors from the Arab world who reach Italy proposing bold and innovative experiments with the drawn story, overturning the perspective and mixing genres and imagery.
Their gazes convey a multifaceted world, sometimes in dense ink marks, other times in the fibers of ancient fabrics, still others in the brilliant colors of the digital age. Reality and imagination intertwine with memories of troubled pasts and visions of dystopian futures, broken dreams of freedom, nightmares and desires.
Their stories cross more than one border, artistic and geographical, starting both from the Tunisian, Egyptian and Lebanese coasts, and from overseas through artists of the Arab diaspora in the USA, to arrive in Jesi, the birthplace of Frederick II, protagonist of the exchange between the two shores of the Mediterranean. To rewrite and redesign together a story of multiple, free and reciprocal crossings.
