Galleria Paola Verrengia on the occasion of the Twentieth Day of Contemporary Art, promoted by AMACI, presents online the exhibition of Berto Lama, multifaceted artist who was also an actor, set designer and costume designer between the Seventies and Nineties. Since the 1980s he has created works by manipulating materials, cloths and fabrics, from which the precious "sculptures" and "cobwebs" are born. The artist, very attached to his birthplace, Pozzuoli, narrates mythological stories through embroidery, using needle and thread like a brush.
Lama's painting goes well beyond the surface, his "paintings" of fabrics, canvases and damasks are to be looked at but also to be touched, they have softness and folds to be explored with the gaze.
