The event, conceived by architect Alfonso Femia, thus returns to investigate the themes of territory and landscape, against the backdrop of the Mediterranean, through talks, debates and exhibitions. Under the direction of Francesca Moraci and Mariangela Cama, in addition to Femia himself, the Biennale dello Stretto 2024 also involved 19 curators in various sections including: Arianna Azzellino, Luisa Bravo, Stefano Capolongo, Giulio De Carli, Gaetano Di Gesu, Alessandra Ferrari, Luciano Galimberti, Marirosa Iannelli, Annalisa Metta, Mauro Francesco Minervino, Luca Molinari, Giovanni Multari, Rosaria Ester Musumeci, Orizzontale, Federico Parolotto, Angela Pellicanò, Gaia Sgaramella, Francesco Scullica, Giuseppe Smorto.
The artistic itinerary curated by Angela Pellicano’ in the Art – City – Territory Section, in a path called “Time inside space – Home like me” welcomes the contributions of nationally and internationally renowned artists such as Flaminia Celata & Bärbel Praun, Giuseppe Negro, Filippo Malice, Giacomo Costa, Giuseppe Bonaccorso, Demetrio Giuffrè, Gianni Brandolino, Cinzia Palumbo and Marco Labate, Larissa Mollace, TecneLab, Ninni Donato, Giulio Manglaviti, Paolo Genovese, Luigi Citarrella, Maria Teresa Oliva, Galleria Toma with Armiro Yaria, Luca Granato and Nausica Barletta. The master of ceramics Danilo Trogu, the performance of Gianfranco Scafidi, the Nike Cultural Association of Irene Calabrò with Antonio Zappone, Spazio Taverna and Studio Labics and the scientific contribution of Remo Malice and Marcello Francolini. The Diorama collective composed of the artists Adriana Balsamo, Alessandro Fortuna, Alberto Pellegrin, Gilberto Bonelli, Giovanni Bettinelli, Kevin Monachella, Paola Careno, Simona Picano, the cultural association Le Rane, the artistic laboratory ArtDesia. The photographers Matteo Cirenei, Alessandro Mallamaci, Giancarlo Leone, Marco Introini, Mario Ferrara, Nicola Tassone, Stefano Anzini and Cinzia Fabiani. The students of the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania participating in the workshop and coordinated by professor Aldo Zucco are: Veronica Cardone, Letizia Garaffa, Salvatore Longo, Giuseppe Scalia, Oriana Ragusa. The musicians Faisal Taher, Michela Calarco, Santina Spezzano, Rita Di Grande and Giulia Gatto and created the work "the Dancing Whale" with the participation of Grazia Bono and Lucia Zucco.
