On the occasion of the finissage of the EMPATHY exhibition dedicated to photography with works by thirty-one artists inaugurated on June 22, 2024, we present the book and the works of the artist Crescens Dupuis dedicated to the GEOLOGICAL BODY project.
EMPATHY, as involvement, ability to identify, considering that each work brings the observer closer, captures their gaze, establishes contact, but also as an eye and lens completely open to the world to capture moments lived, situations, conditions, as availability towards the other, as dialogue and comparison, as mutual exchange, understanding and closeness, sharing, connection, contact with every living being, with nature, with the extended community to feel in tune and grasp the harmony with the whole, perceive a wave line that allows you to feel in balance with the natural and human environment, recover the interior dimension, reflect on the ability to look inside yourself. EMPATHY, a term that takes on multiple meanings and significances.
In conjunction with the finissage of EMPATHY, the artist Crescens Dupuis, who has been working for years on a large photographic project, still in progress, and who in May 2019 gave life to an exhibition at the G.G Gemmellaro geological museum in Palermo, we present the project CORPO GEOLOGICO which addresses the themes of migration and borders with a reflection on identity through a book and the photographic works related to the project.
