“CHIARA LECCA. Carnation&lily" curated by Davide Caroli, organized by the Civic Museum of the Capuchins as part of the autumn exhibition program which kicks off on the occasion of the Feast of San Michele.
Promoted by the Municipality of Bagnacavallo with the patronage of the Emilia-Romagna Region, the event was born in close relationship between the poetics of the artist originally from Modigliana with the precious space that hosts it, a place of worship, according to multiple points of view.

For example, some of the works underline the architecture: on display the works Lapped rocks and Peli superflui recall the creation of an architectural structure in the superposition of elements and in the structural stratification that leads to the creation of a volume.
The reflection starts from the idea that man has always built a hospitable environment to practice his faith, even in Christianity this operation is of primary importance, as evidenced for example by the history of St. Peter's Basilica, built over the tomb of the first apostle and modified over the centuries in a succession of architectural stratifications.

A second significant element in churches is the human presence, the practice of faith and the attendance of places of worship: the artist therefore connects to this suggestion and tells it through some of his most historic and recognizable works: Misses and Still life Series .
Finally, at the basis of all religions lies the concept of faith and the mystical element, that is, the tendency towards direct contact and union with divinity, with something sacred however understood, through overcoming natural and logical-discursive limits and with devotion.
The work Art of fugue intends to lead us towards the idea of the supernatural by combining the theme of the return to life after death and that of original sin, elements represented in an installation located in the center of the central nave.
The work Fake carnation marble is instead a work that encompasses the time of biological evolution that has grown hand in hand with the cultural tradition linked to uses and customs that accompanies the development of the human race, and is placed alongside the central altar and those lateral to other works which, as votive objects, relics or simulacra, are linked to the original furnishings of the space: Fake marble, Domestic economy, Mask, Bigbubbles.

A section of the exhibition is set up and also develops in the suggestive spaces of the Ancient Gallery, an underground passage, a sort of bowel under the inhabited centre: here, underlining this peculiarity of the space, it is possible to admire some works from the most recent production of licks: Current fossils, an installation composed of several sculptures inspired by the world of fossils and some brand new works made with mycelium, a material obtained from the roots of fungi that populate the subsoil.
