On the occasion of the 20th edition of the Giornata del Contemporaneo (Contemporary Art Day), themed around accessibility, architects Pier Vittorio Aureli and Martino Tattara will hold a conference to present research conducted by the Dogma studio on "Urban Villas."
Urban villas are a housing typology that spread across Europe starting in the 19th century, as a product of mere urban speculation. According to Dogma, this typology represents a possible model for future modern and accessible real estate solutions.
The event is part of the larger initiative "Dogma: Urban Villa", an exhibition dedicated to urban villas and their potential, which will be held from October 4, 2024, to February 9, 2025, at the Flanders Architecture Institute.
Pier Vittorio Aureli is an architect and professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), where he directs the "Theory and Project of Domestic Space" lab.
