The physical exhibition accompanies the virtual exhibition ‘Machines Deserve the Planet’, scheduled for 12 October 2024 at antoniolavorgna.com. The works on display were created during the Covid period, when AI Digital artist Antonio Lavorgna, by then far removed from material art, felt lost and found refuge through colour.
On display will be 12 works created with mixed techniques, including enamel on canvas, acrylic on canvas and felt-tip pens on paper. On 12 October, it will also be possible to visit the virtual gallery on screen. The canvases express deep emotions and moods related to a crucial historical moment for mankind, in tune with the 3D exhibition, which aims to criticise the behaviour of human beings. Blinded by a thirst for power and a lack of respect for the planet, man seems no longer to deserve to inhabit the universe.
Through his quest for perfection, man has created machines, which today seem more deserving to live on this planet, perhaps capable of generating a better era, thanks to the legacy left by mankind.
During the exhibition, it will also be possible to admire design works in wax created by the artist Andrea Moraes.
