In the context of Do ut Do 2024, the permanent collection of the Raccolta Lercaro is enriched with the work "Storia Militare" by Flavio Favelli.
Created specifically for doutdo 2018-20, it was exhibited in "Courtesy Emilia-Romagna", curated by Davide Ferri, on the occasion of Arte Fiera 2019. The reference is to the military ships of the Great War, which were painted with black and white stripes and stripes, with various designs to try to confuse enemy submarines. This operation gave the naval fleets an alienating and unexpected aesthetic appearance, a sort of brilliant and at the same time artificial dress for battleships, with a usually severe and martial appearance.
A piece of industry, a found tank painted with this motif seeks, rather than confusing, to bring out the beauty of a waste.
In addition to the work of Flavio Favelli, the museum will exhibit art works by Luca Blumer, Fabrizio Cotognini, Luigi Ontani, Ornaghi & Prestinari, Terri Pecora, Danijel Žeželj, Cuoghi Corsello.

Do ut do is a container of cultural initiatives born in 2011 and promoted by the Association of Friends of the Hospice MT. Chiantore Seràgnoli Foundation, with the aim of supporting the Foundation itself: a “give for giving” that opposes a selfish “give for receiving”. A restitution of meaning and value that does not seek or expect anything in return.
"CONSCIOUSNESS" is the leitmotif of the 2024 edition.
