Project curated since June 2012 by Anna Cochetti, CONTEMPORARY STORIES – Research and Documentation Studio and today headquarters of the Adriano Di Giacomo Archive – also this year dedicates the CONTEMPORARY DAY promoted by AMACI to the re-proposal of themes and paths of more than thirty years of research artistic work carried out by ADRIANO DI GIACOMO (1948 - 2013).
For the 20th GdC presents with the title "Author's deposits: accessible art" a random survey, entrusted to the curatorship and critical presentation of Francesca Tuscano, of various works, sculptures, paintings, multi-materials and drawings, preserved by a few years in the Studio Poerio Archive space.
As Francesca Tuscano notes in her text, “With the exhibition “Author's deposits: accessible art” we wanted to emphasize Di Giacomo's relationship with the places of artistic experimentation and, at the same time, on the aspects of his research linked to a rereading of the urban context, in which the architectural structure is given by recomposed volumes, like fragments or pieces of living.”
At the opening of the thirteenth exhibition season, also on display are the catalogues, notebooks and artists' books from the Contemporary Stories Collection created in 2023/24 both for the collective installations "Mail Art", "...a divinar plutone in aquario..", " Anima / Animus - The wedding of Éros and Psyché" and for the solo shows and events of the artists Adriano Di Giacomo, Gilles Cuomo, Mahsid Mussavi, Béatrice Pasquet, Michiel Blumenthal, Dominique Paravel, Graziella Reggio, Anna Cochetti, Elizabeth Frolet, Annamaria Varriale .
