IOSONOVULNERABILE is a journey through art and vulnerability accomplished in several chapters. The project, which began last January in an artist’s residence at the former Pontifical Prison of Velletri, continues in Paris and will continue next November in Rome, at the Historical Museum of Villa Altieri. In the prestigious French setting, a group called 'living matter' artists will compose an expressive mosaic, using transdisciplinary formats and languages to explore the theme of human vulnerability as a tool for social and civil cohesion.

Painting-sculpture and photography-cinema will dialogue with reality, inviting the visitor to look beyond the nightmares of the twenty-first century and seek alternative futures. In the garden designed by the architect Luigi Moretti, the Communicating Artistic Organisms, , will evoke the 'ruins' of contemporary daily life, while natural light will highlight rare earth photographs, Immersed between decaying cells and writings engraved by the inmates. Music and sound, crucial elements of the installation, will accompany the audience in a complete sensory experience, inspired by the theories of Maurice Merleau-Ponty.

Among the artistic devices Jonchets, or Sciangai will be present, a collective work by young artists of the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, which invites not to give up in front of contemporary social and environmental crises. It is up to all of us - they say - to try to walk away from the complexity of everyday life, one by one, as many fears and frailties as possible, seeking a movement of contact and e-motion.

Participating artists: Sergio Mario Illuminato (painting and sculpture), Rosa Maria Zito (set design and photography), Roberto Biagiotti (cinema), Lucia Bendia (theatre), Patrizia Cavola and Ivan Truol (choreography), Camilla Perugini and Nicholas Baffoni (dance), Andrea Moscianese (music), Davide Palmiotto (sound design), Roberta Melasecca (publishing), Gino Potini (lighting design); the young artists of the School of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome directed by Alessandra Maria Porfidia: Vittoria Andreacchi, Rossella Antezza, Maria Vittoria Rocchi, Violetta Totaro; the students of the Piaget-Diaz State Institute of Higher Education in Rome coordinated by Serena Santilli.

IOSONOVULNERABILE, inspired by the book "Corpus et Vulnus" by Sergio Mario Illuminato, is a project of the VulnerarTe APS Movement, recognized among the 'best Cultural Practices of the Lazio Region'.

IOSONOVULABILE is part of the official initiatives of the twentieth edition of the "Day of the Contemporary Art" promoted by AMACI - Association of Italian Museums of Contemporary Art and realized with the support of Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea of the Italian Ministery of Culture and with the collaboration of the Ministery of Foreign Office bureau: Direzione Generale per la Diplomazia Pubblica e Culturale.
