Artist Marketa Kanokova returns to exhibit in Reggio Emilia with her solo exhibition “Fairy Tales in Color: Illustrated Emotions.” The exhibition includes a selection of 16 works, original drawings made between 2022 and 2024 using the watercolor pastel technique.
“Drawing with the heart heals the soul and leads to joy,” is what Marketa wanted to convey with her artwork. Drawing with the heart is an act of love toward oneself and the world. Every line drawn, every shade of color, becomes a form of expression that comes from the soul and reflects the deepest emotions. It is an inner journey that allows one to explore hidden feelings, to transform one's experiences and visions into something tangible, into a universal language that everyone can understand. Drawing is a way to heal the soul, because as the hands move across the canvas, tensions and thoughts dissolve, making way for serenity and joy. Art thus becomes a form of meditation, a moment of intimate connection with oneself, but also with those who will have the desire to look at those works.
