The title ‘EDEN (Junk city)’ invites us to survive in the ambivalence of a ‘well-being’ that presents itself as ‘Junk city’ in the consumer society: ‘EDEN’ represents our attempt at survival - survival - (also) through the arts, theatre, conviviality...
The ‘escape’ of BAW 2023's “EDEN (Escape)” is realised by continuing the game in which the “golden apple” was the invitation to play, between “inside” and “outside”: ’play!’
The banishment from Eden was escape to awareness, to knowledge, to consciousness ‘beyond good and evil’: Play instead of being played!

At the Capitol cinema in Bolzano - which will be showing the films ‘La lucina’ - Jonny Costantino, Fabio Badolato - and ‘Der Maulbeerbaum’ (‘The Mulberry Tree’) - Kornelia Schöpf, Federico Campana - on 2 October - witnesses of these survivals ‘like fireflies’: Laurina Paperina, Federico Lanaro, Carla Cardinaletti, Monica Cuoghi Claudio Corsello, Stefano Bernardi, Alexey Pivovarov, Nicola Morandini, Flavio de Marco, Giorgio Loner, Ivo Corrà, Christian Martinelli, Daniele Bordoni, Marco De Sio. A site-specific installation of and curated by Nazario Zambaldi.

In the inner garden, set up together with teachers Mariella Cocca, Nadia Pilati, girls and boys students from the sculpture course at the Giovanni Pascoli Art School.

The set-up on the second floor includes video installation and map of “Junk city”; “Eden residency” video on the experience of the “Junk city” theater production at Ateliersi in Bologna and previous plots "Polis: the city is no longer (we can leave the theater now)". The various plots of the project can be heard in various city spaces. “Babel city: the ghost of speed” at Pascoli High School; ‘Panoptic city: the paradox of consumption’ near the construction site for the new ‘Benko’ shopping mall; ‘Generic city: the spectacle of an effect’ next to the remains of the former ‘Verdi’ civic theater bombed in World War II; ‘Junk city: the crisis of perception’ as an installation for voices and light at the Macello space on Oct. 2.
