What would happen if to the famous motto that stands out in courts and on banknotes United States, we replaced the word ‘God’ with the noun ‘Love’?

In monotheistic professions of faith, God is universally identified with the sentiment of Love. But the word God has, at times, been loaded in human history with other meanings,
dystopian, distorted, distant meanings. If we tried to replace it with its essence, perhaps the result might surprise us: ‘It is only by searching for words that we find thoughts’ (J. Joubert).

The work was installed at the Centre for Culture in Merano on the occasion of PEA Pedagogy Ecology and the Arts conference ‘peace’.
PEA is an international conference resulting from a collaboration between Teatro Pratiko as part of the CRATere review, the Academy of Italo-German Studies and the University of Vienna.
