Alice Ronchi, LOVE ME AGAIN

Catalogue Presentation on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 6:00 PM

For the Twenty-First Day of Contemporary Art organized by AMACI – Association of Museums of Contemporary Art in Italy, the MAC of Lissone will present the catalogue LOVE ME AGAIN by Alice Ronchi on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 6:00 PM. This initiative is part of the museum's new acquisition program, Rendez-Vous, made possible by the PAC2024 – Plan for Contemporary Art, promoted by the General Directorate for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture.

The publication refers to the eponymous exhibition Love Me Again, organized by MAC in 2024, where Ronchi engaged in a dialogue with selected works from the museum's historical collection, particularly masterpieces by Claude Bellegarde, Cheval-Bertrand, Peter Brüning, Giorgio de Chirico, Piero Dorazio, Gino Meloni, Achille Perilli, Mario Schifano, Eugenio Tomiolo, and others.

The title Love Me Again evokes the need for artworks to "live" again, breaking free from the nostalgia that confines them in storage, so they can be looked at, appreciated, and rediscovered by the public. The body of work by Alice Ronchi, now part of the MAC collection, spans painting, drawing, installation, and video.

The volume includes images of the works and texts by Stefano Raimondi and Alice Ronchi, along with a conversation between the artist and Cecilia Sponda. The catalogue will be introduced by a talk with the authors.

Rendez-Vous is the program for acquiring new works to be added to the permanent collection of the MAC, which began with Alice Ronchi's exhibition and will continue in the future.
