In addition to the special opening of the exhibition for the Contemporary Art Day, a musical performance by Federico Nardella — 𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗬𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗫 — is scheduled. A performance for organ pipes based on hisses, rustles, and breaths. The airflow and its dispersion form the backbone of the piece, which moves between droning sound densities and profound silences. The work unfolds on the threshold between the traditional sound of the organ and a physical intervention on the instrument, revealing unstable and complex timbres. The instrument, composed of two modules with a total of eighteen pipes made of zinc, tin, and spruce, is powered by a fan and controlled through drawbars that regulate the airflow. This system enables an unprecedented dynamic expressivity compared to the classical organ, offering a rich and unpredictable sonic range. 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 develops his musical research in the field of hyper-amplification of inaudible sounds, making silence a listening device through which to explore noise. His compositions stage a fragile and imperceptible sonic universe, where minute elements interact within space, generating unstable scenarios often traversed by long silent pauses. Active with numerous record releases and collaborations — including soundtracks for Italian and international films — he is also the curator of the electroacoustic improvisation series Ek Dam.
Descrizione

In addition to the special opening of the exhibition for the Giornata del Contemporaneo (Contemporary Art Day), a musical performance by Federico Nardella – 𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗬𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗫 is scheduled.

A performance for organ pipes, based on hissing, rustling, and blowing sounds. The flow of air and its dispersion form the backbone of the piece, which moves between droning sonic densities and deep silences.

The work unfolds at the boundary between the traditional sound of the organ and a physical intervention on the instrument, revealing unstable and complex timbres.

The instrument, made up of two modules with a total of eighteen pipes in zinc, tin, and spruce, is powered by a fan and controlled through levers that regulate the airflow.

This system allows for a dynamic expressiveness unlike that of the classical organ, offering a rich and unpredictable sonic range.

Federico Nardella develops his musical research in the field of hyper-amplification of inaudible sounds, making silence a listening device through which to explore noise.

His compositions stage a fragile and imperceptible sound universe, in which tiny elements interact in space, generating unstable scenarios often traversed by long silent pauses.

Active with numerous recordings and collaborations — including soundtracks for both Italian and international films — he is also the curator of Ek Dam, an electroacoustic improvisation series.

Special Opening of "Between Two Thoughts", Solo Exhibition by Marta Roberti, inaugurated on October 3

A series of large-scale drawings will be displayed, created in direct dialogue with the spaces of the exhibition center (a former church).

The title alludes to that state of suspension and silence — between one thought and the next — in which, through awareness, visions and intuitions may emerge.

Marta Roberti is a contemporary artist who, through drawings and installations, investigates the profound connection between art, nature, and spirituality.
At the heart of her practice are often symbolic animals, carriers of ancestral and mythical meanings.
Her works invite the viewer to recognize the sacredness of living beings and to perceive the subtle, ever-shifting boundary between the human and the non-human.
