Descrizione

The exhibition features original works by Calabrian artists from different generations, each boasting a distinguished track record: Alessandro Allegra, Giuseppe Bonaccorso, Nino Bruno, Antonio Federico, Gabriel Giunta, Demetrio Giuffrè, Tony Giuffrè, Mr. Holyshit, Marco Labate, Filippo Malice, Enrico Meo, Vincenzo Molinari, Maria Teresa Oliva, Tina Parisi, Eleonora Pesaro, Gianfranco Scafidi, Nuccio Schepis, Rosaria Straffalaci, and Gennaro Venanzi. This visual and emotional journey offers the public the opportunity to reflect and interact on the theme of Peace, in this complex moment of our current times.
Along this common thread, different expressive universes intertwine, works that dialogue through original scores and challenge our consciences in the face of the tragedy of a world increasingly bent on the logic of violence and intolerance, yet also yearning for peace.

The performances on display thus offer a range of visions, from the crudest and most dramatic to works imbued with bitter irony, or that evoke the desire to transcend divisive symbolism, to metaphysical compositions that reveal the contradictions of our current world and the fragile balance between peace and war. A poetic interweaving that confronts the hedonistic choices of an indifferent humanity, or that reflects the fractures of war and our consciences within the unstable geographies of the world. There are creations that bring back to the metaphor of the domestic space, understood as a place of peace but also as a potential prison, and others that recover the beauty of ancient handwriting, disjointed fragments of poetry, from the rubble of war, as if to preserve their memory. An extremely varied iconographic journey, therefore, culminates in the work "A Music for Two People," which condenses a kind of hope, a vision for peace, recalling the healing and spiritual value of art, and directing our gaze toward the possibility of reconciliation between peoples and harmony in diversity.
Dialogues and Visions for Peace is an exhibition that reaffirms the ethical value of art in a time of darkness, where the fundamental principles of human existence are continually violated. Today, more than ever, we need the gaze of artists; we need art that speaks to the reasons of the soul and of life.

For AMACI Day, the aim is to offer the public a collaborative journey to rediscover the desire for sharing, promoting collective moments of discussion and research within a framework of active citizenship.
The exhibition will be accompanied by musical performances, thanks to the support of the Reggio Calabria Conservatory, creating a poetic space for many voices, where emotions and thoughts can converge in dialogue and reflection.
