TRECCANI ARTE X AMACI

A special project conceived and curated by AMACI with the collaboration of Treccani Arte to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the

Giornata del Contemporaneo 2024

AMACI and Treccani Arte together celebrate twenty years of Giornata del Contemporaneo, the event that in the space of just twenty-four hours opens the doors to museums, foundations, academies and galleries, artists' studios and public and private art venues, giving the general public an opportunity to experience the complex and vibrant world of contemporary art up close and bringing the event to be considered the annual event that officially inaugurates the art season in Italy.

On the occasion of this important anniversary of the event, the Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums has conceived and curated, in collaboration with Treccani Arte, the Treccani Arte x AMACI project : a series of limited edition fine art prints made by artists who over these twenty editions have signed the guiding image of the event.

Giorgio Andreotta Calò, Stefano Arienti, Tomaso Binga, Binta Diaw, Emilio Isgrò, Eva Marisaldi, Marzia Migliora, Liliana Moro, Adrian Paci, Giulio Paolini, Alfredo Pirri, and Michelangelo Pistoletto have joined this special project by devising or choosing from their repertoire a new image different from the guiding image. Each image will be available in 20 copies, numbered and signed, for sale from October 12 on Treccani Arte channels.

The artworks: Giorgio Andreotta Calò, Icarus; Stefano Arienti, Meridiana a Crespi d’Adda; Tomaso Binga, Pace; Binta Diaw, Se defendre; Emilio Isgrò, La formica argentina (© Emilio Isgrò by SIAE 2024); Eva Marisaldi, Small Pharma; Marzia Migliora, Dalla serie Aqua micans - Hotel delle Palme (© Marzia Migliora by SIAE 2024); Liliana Moro, Voci; Adrian Paci, Compito; Giulio Paolini, Intorno a Saturno (2); Alfredo Pirri, Passi (© Alfredo Pirri by SIAE 2024); Michelangelo Pistoletto, QR - Code Possession
