Inaugurated in the historic Palazzo Torriani in Gradisca d’Isonzo, in the province of Gorizia, the Gallery preserves and promotes the works of Luigi Spazzapan, a native of Gradisca and one of the first representatives of abstract and informal art in Italy, as well as those of various contemporary regional artists. In recent years, the activities of the Spazzapan Gallery have included dozens of exhibitions of art, design, and photography, interdisciplinary showcases, meetings, workshops, and conferences, with a program centered on dialogue and exchange. Notable examples include the exhibitions "Artist + Artist" and "Sottsass/Spazzapan". Additionally, the Gallery has focused on enhancing contemporary art through the Together project, which will allow sixty contemporary artists from Friuli Venezia Giulia to take center stage in exhibitions and initiatives over the next three years. The Gallery is managed by ERPAC FVG - the Regional Authority for Cultural Heritage of Friuli Venezia Giulia, in collaboration with the Municipality of Gradisca d’Isonzo and the Carigo Foundation.
