On the 140th birth anniversary of the Perugian painter Gerardo Dottori, the Musei Nazionali di Perugia – Direzione regionale Musei nazionali Umbria and the Archivi Dottori pay homage to the artist with a selection of works on loan from important private collections, alongside the Tramonto lunare (Moonset) which is part of the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Umbria.
The exhibition, conceived for the last room of the museum permanent itinerary, aims to document the artist's early work, first in the Divisionist-Pointillist style, then the Futurist phase, in the declinations of the dynamism of the mechanical medium and of the visual-auditive sensations, and finally in the development of Aeropainting.
The exhibition is accompanied by didactic panels and a catalogue published by Silvana Editoriale.
