On the occasion of the Twenty-First Day of Contemporary Art, visitors will be able to collect — free of charge — a descriptive card at the ticket office about the sculpture “Male Torso” by Giuseppe Cuccio, on display in the Bonet Courtyard of the Gallery. The artwork, placed on a steel pedestal with a metal base, was created by the Palermo-born artist in 2000.
Cuccio has held numerous solo exhibitions in museums, foundations, and both public and private galleries in Italy and abroad. Among various accolades, he was awarded “Artist of the Year 2009” in Milan (Arts Award – Culture Award). His artistic research spans sculpture, painting, and drawing. His works are part of private collections and museum holdings. The sculptor lives and works between Palermo and Milan.
